fuck titles…
Anyhoo, this week has been good. We had natquals on Friday for speech, Daniel and I made it to quarter finals with our duo and he made it to semi-finals with HI. It was fun, and we did pretty well, as a small team, it was kind of expected that we wouldn’t qualify anyone for nationals, especially since the last half of the year was such a shitstorm. Now he and I are focused on state, hoping and practicing to bring our A game and break to finals. Since it’s my senior year, this will be the last chance I have to win at a state tournament. We are also kinda hoping that we get selected to Catholic Nationals in NY. I have been the past two years and Daniel has yet to go, but I am worried that our lame attendance in the first half of the year will work against us. But as far as speech is concerned, keeping our fingers crossed and moving along quite well.
We had our band adjudication on Thursday morning as well. That went pretty well, enough to get us out of early band on Friday which was a life saver. And now that we are on spring break, we have sectionals for the next three days. I will possibly make it to none of them due to another issue with my parents and illicit drug use, but I am working on that….again. I have had a lot of time to think about where I am going to be going with my music and decided that i hope to continue it in college. It gives me a lot of joy, and hopefully it will help with some dough, becuase I need it! haha.
I finally finished filling out the fucking FAFSA today. As expected, my EFC is something off the charts that don’t really matter because it could be half as much and the Real Family contribution is still going to be zero. Now that I have spring break, I have a whole bunch of stuff that I want to get finished before the week is over, one of them being applying for all of my financial aid stuff and apply for a few scholarships.
In other musings, once I had this idea for a vegan restaurant that I wanted to start and own called tofu dream. I didn’t really think much of it, but I was bored tonight and decided to make a logo on photoshop:
cool, huh? I love that program.
Well I just kinda wanted to update some stuff. I will post more later, as I am sure that this week will ensure to be a bore.
